Jeff White writes: "Today I thought we would check Eagle's nests for chicks and they where popping up out of the nest on Jill Rd and Walnut Street. Abbott's Farm is good right now that they cut the fragmities down...lots of Snipes ,Greater Yellowlegs and the Bluewing Teal which are rare to see anymore. Also, saw a lot of Little Blue Heron's and Glossy Ibis.
Cat and I walked Holly Hills and the Bluebirds were abundant, as were the hawks, Kestrel's, Redtail's and a Cooper's or Sharpie (didn't see the tail). A Redtail Hawk has a nest in a pine tree where we put up the first Bluebird house. If you go to the far right corner of the parking lot and look in the pine trees overtop the first Bluebird house you may see a Hawkeye looking back at you. I did."
